Rail Connections
St Austell is on the main London-Penzance railway line and the station is only approximately 1.75 miles away with easy connections to Plymouth, Falmouth, Newquay, Bodmin, Truro, Penzance, St Ives and beyond. The station has plenty of daily parking available so taking a "park and ride" day trip can make a pleasant and scenic change from driving. A day trip to St Ives or Falmouth by train is much easier than driving and parking! Use Trainline for timetables, e-railcard and ticketing.
Bus Routes
There are good local bus routes stopping directly outside Pebbledrift Cottage linking to St Austell, Newquay, Mevagissey, Par, Fowey and other destinations. Check timetables and plan longer routes here.
Boat Ferries and Excursions
If you fancy a pleasant excursion by boat plus a little onshore sightseeing or shopping then why not try a return boat ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey (look out for dolphins and other large species). St Mawes to Falmouth combining a walk through Falmouth Town to Pendennis Castle or browsing the long winding high street shops, or take a pleasant river trip up the Fal to the National Trust house and gardens at Trelissick from St Mawes.Cycle Trails
